Tomislav Fijačko

Partner

Tomislav started his career in 2013 in a global consulting firm, advising multinational clients on commercial, corporate and labor law issues, including collective labor relations. Later, he focused on M&A consulting, financial and operational structuring, and real estate transactions, among other things.

Focused on providing commercially meaningful and strategic advice, Tomislav uses a personal and multidisciplinary approach to find effective legal solutions for companies, other organizations and individuals - regardless of the stage or aspect of their business.

He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Zagreb, and during and after his studies he received additional education and training in Germany and was certified as an expert in public procurement. Since 2016, he has been a permanent court interpreter for the German language.

He is a member of several professional and other associations and chambers and regularly participates in conferences, gatherings and panels. He is passionate about strengthening the practical approach to legal education that he fosters through participation and mentorship in Moot Court competitions, the legal clinic and client counseling competitions (Brown-Mosten ICCC).

Frano Barović

Frano has more than ten years of experience in legal consulting, working mostly in the areas of commercial law, dispute resolution, start-ups and venture capital transactions. He started his legal career in 2017 as an independent lawyer, and as the leader of the local legal team, he was part of a wider network of law firms with a presence in Slovenia, the United Kingdom and the USA for five years.

Frano has earned the trust of clients through resolving complex legal issues, including corporate financing, restructurings, cross-border operations and pre-bankruptcy settlements. Its goal is to ensure that legal solutions not only respond to legal challenges, but also strategically support clients' long-term growth and success.

He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Zagreb and since 2014 he has been a certified court interpreter for English. He regularly participates in professional conferences and trainings in the field of corporate and commercial law, and is actively involved in mentoring companies through the BIRD Incubator, the Zagreb Innovation Center ZICER and the Technology Park Split. He also collaborates with Impact Hub Zagreb, where he has led numerous workshops on legal issues in entrepreneurship, and is a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Zagreb on the course "Management of Innovative Organizations".

Karolina Vrbek

Trainee

Karolina has been a member of the team since 2023, since when she has been involved in all aspects of the office's work, from legal advice and representation, to monitoring the execution of tasks, customer care and administrative support in the translation aspect of the office's operations.

She is in charge of advanced legal research and preparation of legal opinions in the field of administrative, commercial and labor law, and is especially focused and expert in matters of compliance with legal regulations (GDPR, AML), obtaining and supporting the stay and work of foreigners in the Republic of Croatia, and debt collection.
